Are you a skilled wordsmith fluent in both French and English, with a passion for optimizing digital web-based content and leading a team to success? We’re seeking a bilingual SEO Copywriting Manager to join our dynamic team, reporting directly to the Digital Experience Director. In this role, you will oversee a team of talented copywriters and freelance resources, ensuring the creation of high-quality, SEO-friendly web content that resonates with our brand’s voice and reaches our target audiences.
- Oversee and provide feedback to a team of three copywriters and several freelance resources; ensuring deliverables are met and timelines adhered to.
- Create high-quality, SEO-friendly copy aligning with brand voice and SEO analytics.
- Optimize copy for search engines, strategically incorporating keywords and best practices for off-page, back-end SEO.
- Review product copy and ensure adherence to content guidelines, quality standards, and tone of voice.
- Review French translations and ensure adherence to content guidelines, quality standards, and tone of voice.
- Provide constructive feedback and revisions to copywriting team, maintaining accuracy and alignment.
- Foster a strong partnership with designers to ensure seamless synergy between copy and design elements.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in SEO and content writing.
- Oversee the production of retailer-specific copy for accounts such as Amazon, Costco, Walmart, and more.
- Manage the schedule and creation of SEO-friendly blogs, including guest posts for backlink strategy.
- 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, normally between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., with flexibility.
- Teleworking position.
- Occasional travel to our different locations (Jamestown, Lac-Mégantic, Sherbrooke) for photoshoots and other events.
- 3–5 years of experience in SEO copywriting and team management.
- Demonstrated bilingual proficiency in both written and spoken French and English.
- Knowledge of SEO tools (SEMrush, Google Keyword planner, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Copywriter, Content Writer, or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing SEO-optimized content.
- Solid understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and provide leadership to direct reports.
- Creative mindset with the ability to adapt to different brand voices and tones.
- Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, concise, and engaging copy.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Interest in emerging AI tools and technologies to facilitate and support various copywriting requests.
