Local Suppliers
We promote responsible sourcing by purchasing materials from local suppliers. By working with trusted Lac-Mégantic partners like Tafisa and Panolite, we significantly reduce transportation-related emissions while supporting our local economy. It’s one way we’re investing in sustainability — and in our community.
Recycled Packaging
Since 2010, we have eliminated the need for over 6,000 m³ of polystyrene annually — that’s more than 70 truckloads per year. Our green packaging is 100% recyclable, polystyrene-free, and meets strict performance standards to ensure your furniture arrives in perfect condition, with a smaller footprint.
Residual Materials Management
We sell our cardboard, clear plastic, iron, wood chip rejects, and nonconforming particle pieces to recycling partners who turn them into new products. We ensure the recovery and proper treatment of batteries, fluorescent lights, waste oil, used solvents, and washing water, and about half of our factory waste is used for thermal energy.
Reduced Electricity Consumption
We reduce energy use through employee practices and smart systems. Equipment is shut down during breaks, lighting is adjusted by area, and older fixtures have been replaced with energy-efficient options. Automatic shutdown systems prevent overuse — saving energy, lowering maintenance, and contributing to a more sustainable operation.
Reduced Water Consumption
Thanks to an employee-led initiative, we now recycle the steam condensate produced by our central heating system, considerably reducing our consumption of water and chemical additives. We've also upgraded toilet tanks for better efficiency. These small, meaningful changes add up to more responsible water use across our operations.
Tree Planting Initiative
We are committed to making a healthier, more sustainable planet for future generations. That's why we've teamed up with the Arbor Foundation and pledged to plant trees for reviews. Thanks to your support, we regularly donate to help with the restoration of forests and areas affected by natural disasters. Together, we contribute to a greener and cleaner environment.
