Reporting to the Vice-President of Operations, we are looking for a dynamic leader to contribute to the implementation and maintenance of the quality system, industrial engineering and continuous improvement activities, as well as compliance for our Sherbrooke and Lac-Mégantic plants. It is with a passionate team, equipment and systems at the cutting edge of technology that you will be able to actively contribute to the achievement of the organization’s objectives. More specifically, we are looking for a leader who will be able to implement a structure and processes that will allow us to reach the highest standards in our market, in a context of a significant increase in demand for our products.

Main responsibilities :

  • Take charge of the continuous improvement program and quality control activities;
  • Develop and support the implementation of standardized best practices in operations,
  • including the management of performance indicators;
  •  Analyze and recommend manufacturing efficiency objectives for his unit as well as
  • support action plans;
  • Contribute to the resolution of technical problems;
  • Optimize processes in order to increase productivity, maximize raw materials and
  • to reduce waste (wastage) ;
  • To ensure that changes are maintained by means of controls;
  • Ensure the conformity of the various systems.

Skills, Abilities sought :

  • Autonomous, organized and methodical while having as a priority the team work;
  • Have good analytical skills and good problem-solving abilities;
  • Demonstrate leadership, be a facilitator and an excellent communicator;
  • Rigorous application of processes;
  • Bilingual both orally and in writing;
  • Knowledge of the different tools of the Office suite;
  • Technical knowledge in the furniture manufacturing industry is an asset.

Training and experience required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or operations management;
  • Possess 5 to 8 years of experience in the field of continuous improvement and quality by
  • manufacturing environment ;
  • Holding a Black Belt or Green Belt certification is an asset;
  • Experience in compliance or audit management an asset.
