Bestar
furniture is only sold through retail stores and printed
or electronic catalogs. The retailers are responsible

What
materials is your furniture made of?
Bestar
uses recycled hardwood and softwood materials which
are environmentally friendly. These wood products
are bonded together with resins using heat and pressure,
creating durable boards for furniture. The boards
are then covered with paper or melamine laminate.
Bestar pioneered the use of melamine in RTA furniture.
As a result, many of our products are covered with
thermofused melamine, the industry standard for durability
and resistance to scratches, stains and burns.

What
can I use to clean Bestar furniture?
Use a soft,
dry cloth for dusting. To clean heavy dirt, use a
cloth dipped in a solution of mild detergent and water.
Avoid leaving wet objects on the surface or using
commercial chemical cleansers.

How
long does it take to assemble a piece of Bestar furniture?
Depending
on the size and complexity of the piece, assembly
can take from one to four or five hours. Although
it takes some time, the instructions are easy to follow.
Many customers find it personally rewarding to put
together their own desk. Some retailers offer in-home
assembly. Check with your local retailer for details.

What
do I do if I'm having assembly problems or have missing
or damaged parts?
DO NOT RETURN
THE FURNITURE TO THE STORE! THEY ARE NOT EQUIPPED
TO HANDLE THESE TYPES OF PROBLEMS. Please call Bestar
customer service at 1-888-823-7827. We can answer
all your questions and send out missing or replacement
parts almost immediately. Our hours are Monday to Thursday 8:30 A.M. to 8:30 P.M. EST, Friday 8:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. EST. and Saturday, 10:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. EST. Please have
your instruction manual handy when you call. We want
you to be satisfied and will do whatever it takes
to make sure you are!


Do
you have some tips for assembly?
Yes,
we do:
- Carefully
read the assembly instructions before you begin.
- Before
beginning, lay out all pieces including hardware on
the floor and count them to be sure that nothing is
missing or damaged.
-
Enlist the help of another person to avoid risk to
yourself or damage to the furniture.
- Do
not push, pull or drag the furniture on the floor
or carpet. This can loosen the fittings and damage
the wood. Try to assemble the furniture as close to
its place of use as possible. If you must move it,
enlist the help of another person and lift it completely
off the ground and carry it slowly into place.

How
does the locking system work to keep the pieces together?
The
main assembly system, called a cam lock, is what locks
the pieces of wood together. It is very important
that you carefully follow the instructions for installing
the cam locks. These instructions are in every instruction
manual and are repeated below:
A)
You must use a flat head screwdriver to turn the cams

B) Turn cam
to about two o'clock, but to make sure it's turned
far enough, apply a bit of extra pressure.


Can
you give me some tips for problems I may be having with
my drawers?
A) Make
sure that you used the right screws on your metal
runners.
B) Make sure that the screws are screwed in straight.
C) Make sure that the top panel of the drawer hasn't
been put upside down
D) Make sure that you have adjusted the panels of
the drawer as shown in the illustration.


Can
you give me some tips for problems I may be having with
my doors?
A) As shown
in the illustration, to adjust the doors, first loosen
screws A and B, then turn one or the
other and observe what the door does.
B) If you have different hinges (bent and straight)
it is important to put them on the appropriate doors.
If you have different plates that go with the hinges,
it is also important to put them in the right place
on the unit.

does your warranty cover?
Bestar products
are warranted to the original purchaser against defects
in material or workmanship in the furniture components
for five years from the date of purchase. The word
"defects," as used in this warranty refers
to any imperfections which impair the use of the product.
Bestar warranty is applicable in Canada and USA excluding Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico.
