BESTAR staff members are careful to minimize their energy consumption. Turning off our equipment and dust collector system during break time is a fine example of our staff's support. In addition, a plater has volunteered to monitor our electricity consumption. He has direct access to our records at Hydro-Québec.
Our lighting has been adjusted to our needs terms of location and time of operation. Our old system has been replaced by a more economical system with a lower impact on the environment at end of life. Other initiatives such as installing an automatic shutdown system on equipment that is not used for a specific time period and monitoring electricity demand will help us prevent over-use and reduce maintenance requirements.
